Terms of Service

Last updated: September 18, 2026

StowFinch helps a team keep track of its business equipment. These terms explain what we each agree to.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between StowFinch (“StowFinch”, “we”, “us”) and the organization or person using the service (“you”). StowFinch is operated as a sole proprietorship based in Boise, Idaho. By creating an account or using StowFinch, you agree to these terms. If you are using StowFinch for an organization, these terms apply to that organization.

2. Who may use StowFinch

StowFinch is a business service, not a consumer product. To use it you must be able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use StowFinch on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to do so on that organization’s behalf.

3. Accounts and access

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without authorization. Administrators in your organization control who else can reach your company’s information in StowFinch.

4. The service

StowFinch records assets, where they are, who has them, and the history of those changes. It includes locations, people records, assignment and custody history, labels, CSV import and export, and multi-user access organized into a company and its Sites.

5. Availability without charge during V1, and future plans

StowFinch is currently available without charge during V1. Standard access currently includes one Site. Organizations that need additional Sites may request Enterprise access, which is also currently available without charge, by approval.

Free access is not guaranteed permanently. We may introduce paid plans, change which features or levels of access are available without charge, or require existing users to select a paid plan in order to continue using some or all of the service.

Before an existing free account is required to move to a paid plan, we will give reasonable advance notice of the applicable pricing and the effective date. We will not automatically begin charging you merely because you previously used StowFinch without charge. Moving to a paid plan requires you or an authorized administrator to affirmatively select that plan and provide any required billing information.

If you choose not to move to a paid plan when one becomes required, access to some or all of StowFinch may be limited or ended after the applicable transition period.

6. Your information

Your organization retains ownership of the information it enters into StowFinch. We use that information only as needed to provide, support, secure, and improve the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for having the rights to enter it.

7. Our service and materials

StowFinch and its software, design, branding, and related service materials are owned by StowFinch or its licensors. Subject to these terms, we give you a limited right to use the service for your organization’s internal business purposes. This section does not affect your ownership of the information you enter, which is covered in section 6.

8. Information about other people

StowFinch lets you record details about employees, contractors, and other people who hold or use your equipment. Those people generally do not have StowFinch accounts.

You are responsible for having the appropriate authority within your organization to record and manage that information, and for handling it in line with your own obligations and policies. StowFinch does not review or decide whether your internal records about your own people are appropriate — that judgment stays with you.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use StowFinch to break the law, to access accounts or data you are not authorized to reach, to interfere with or attack the service or the systems it runs on, to distribute malicious software, to abuse other users, or to infringe anyone’s rights.

10. Changes to the service

StowFinch is actively developed. We may add, change, or remove features. Where a change would significantly reduce what the service does for you, we will give reasonable notice where practical. Changes apply going forward.

11. Suspension and ending access

You can stop using StowFinch at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached, if there is a security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the service.

Removing someone’s access — or closing an account — does not by itself delete the equipment records, activity history, or other business information associated with your organization. Some records are kept for security, audit, and operational reasons. How deletion and anonymization requests are handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers

StowFinch is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

StowFinch is a record-keeping tool. It is your responsibility to keep your own records of anything you cannot afford to lose.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost or corrupted data, arising out of or relating to the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability where doing so would not be permitted by applicable law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top and take reasonable steps to let account administrators know. Continuing to use StowFinch after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or StowFinch must be brought in the state courts located in Ada County, Idaho, or, where federal subject-matter jurisdiction exists, in the United States District Court for the District of Idaho. You and StowFinch consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
